What is Optical Cable? An optical cable is a type of cable that transmits information through light. While regular cables transmit signals using electricity, optical cables send them from one place to another through light beams.

CDSEI Optical cables consist of tiny strands of glass or plastic tubes bundled together, enclosed in a protective covering. These long strands, called fibers, are thinner than a human hair. When data must be sent through an optical cable, a laser beam converts the information into light pulses. These pulses sail down the fibers within the Low Water Peak SM Fiber cable until they reach their destination, where they are converted back into data.

Benefits of using optical cables for audio and video transmission.

In short, another major advantage of CDSEI optical cables in audio and video use is their ability to transmit high volumes of data at high speeds. So when you connect your TV to your Blu-ray player, or your computer to your speakers with optical cables, the sound and picture will be crystal clear with no issues whatsoever. Additionally, Bend Insensitive SM Fiber are immune to electromagnetic interference, a common problem with regular cables.
